My Berlin trip started and ended at Neon Wood apartments. I was fortunate enough to have the chance to stay in what was the most wonderful accommodation for 5days; right in the heart of Berlin meaning I got to explore the city with out any barriers 🙂

My Berlin trip was hectic, tiring (you know… that good kinda tiring) but incredibly magical at the same time. I fell in love with the city all over again (I didn’t think it was possible to love the city any more than I already did… but somehow I managed to discover even more sides to the complex multifaceted city). There’s a certain openness to Berlin that I have yet to discover anywhere else, almost as If no matter who you are or where you come from, you are embraced and welcomed into open arms.

Our stay at Neon wood was filled with music, great food, drink and lots of arty activities (all the good things). I designed two of my own t-shirts (and a bag)… David Bowie inspired of course :).

A big part of my experience also included vintage shopping (obvs); I always love to discover a cities secondhand stores first and foremost :). And Berlin is for sure up there with London for it’s thrift bargains! My favourite store was ‘pick and weight’ (and yes I may have gone there more than once and definitely brought more than one thing.. meaning packing to leave was much harder than it was to come…).

 

We also visited one of Berlin’s famous flea markets :

Berlin also seems to have the best range of cafes and restaurants, and so soooo many vegan and vegetarian options (basically all the girls on the trip where vegan..).

But any good day starts with good coffee and breakfast 🙂

Most importantly however, I was able to spend my experience with the most wonderful crazy people and my best friends 🙂 this is what really made the experience so magical!!
